The Educational Transformation Team (ETT) convened today to review summer progress. The ETT includes NCCSC administrators, high school and middle school staff, community members, and students.
Attendees divided into smaller teams to discuss key topics such as community engagement, communications, academic support, and sustainability. Each team was tasked with creating an "elevator pitch" to help everyone explain NCCSC to someone unfamiliar with our work. Remarkably, all groups conveyed a similar message:
"New Castle meets students where they are, offering individualized pathways and opportunities for exploration. Our programs are accessible to a diverse range of students, making school more like the real world with college classes leading to the Indiana College Core and/or associate degrees along with work-based learning opportunities, access to the Career Center, and guidance from career coaches for middle and high school students.
We are constantly evolving, with innovative programs like Trojan Tech Academy, Agriculture Academy, and new music and dual-credit business curriculums. We give ample opportunities for both career-focused and college-focused students while still allowing them to have a traditional high school experience. New Castle provides exceptional student support, building strong relationships that foster investment and involvement both at school and within the community."
Thank you to everyone who donates their time as a part of the ETT. You are truly making a difference!
