
Gust Speaker Samson Hunkler visited the American Sign Language classes today to discuss life growing up in a Deaf household. Hunkler is a CODA, a Child of Deaf Adults.

Today in English classes, students studied "A Midsummer Night's Dream," SAT standards, and Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream Speech."

Our Jazz Band is gearing up for the University of Indianapolis' Annual Jazz Festival. They will compete Valentine's weekend at Skinner Auditorium in Pendleton. As Mr. Edwards always says, Good Skills, NCHS.











Mr. Grace, Dean of Students, and Officer Koger have brand-new coats for free for any student in need for these cold winter months. (Head to the main office if interested.) They also updated students with before-school safety protocols on the daily announcements.

NCCSC will be honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Monday, January 20; school will not be in session.


Mrs. Madden's business classes took to Career Exploration with Mr. Haler as a virtual guide! Students got to try their skills in live knee surgery, investment planning, restoring power to a city grid, and life as a network engineer or chef! Virtual Reality today; life tomorrow.











Mr. Bode's Physics classes calculated the average winners of their Dune Buggies VS Swamp Buggies in a timed 1.5 meter race. Classes were surprised with their unique results! "Just don't push the 'Skibidi Ohio' button!"










Juniors Elijah Blankenship and Owen Barrett are members of the Henry County LIVE Coalition. Pictured here with Nan Polk, NCCSC Board Vice-President, Blankenship and Barrett will be traveling to Washington DC with the live coalition for the national conference! We are very proud of these NC high school students.

"Celebrating our People" at last night's Board Meeting, we inducted new board members, honored a retiree and gave out a Trojan Award of Excellence! Please congratulate Josh Estelle for joining our 2025 Board. Seth Lee took a a new role as Board President, Nan Polk as Vice President, Jaci Hadsell as Secretary, and John Griffith, returns as a member. Dr. Shoemaker honored Greg Dickerson for teaching eight years in Machine Trades at the New Castle Career Center, and gave the Trojan Award of Excellence to Mica White, 2nd Grade Westwood teacher.
