These RECORDS are made to be broken!

Yesterday, (8-13-25) WKPW set a record for total audience streaming. In the past our top number was just over 100. We recorded 199 yesterday! Most people listen to WKPW on their smartphones, and yesterday we had listeners in Germany, India, and Mexico. This is not unusual, we also have tracked listeners in the UK, Italy, Brazil, and Australia.

We have students on-the-air from 7am - 9pm every weekday with a mixture of "live" and "voice tracking". The response has been amazing. I believe people are listening to support the program.

Today, Veterinary Science students received instruction on the correct procedures for donning and using personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety and hygiene in clinical settings. #WeAreNCCC

Today, the Property and Facilities Management class focused on height-related work and ladder safety. Students explored key safety practices, proper ladder setup and usage, fall prevention strategies, and relevant workplace safety regulations. #WeAreNCCC

Today, Fire and Rescue visited the training ground for a hands-on session. Each student also received their fire gear — officially kicking off their journey in fire and rescue training! #WeAreNCCC

Thank you to our local schools that partner with our Education Professions program.  Today we started our tours for lab site placements. 🚌🍎

Today the Property and Facilities Management students studied Fall Arrest Systems as part of their safety and risk management curriculum. These systems are critical in maintaining health and safety standards for building maintenance and construction activities, especially when working at heights. #WeAreNCCC

It’s time for the Education and Property Management Reveal! In honor of completing Science of Reading 1,  Education Professions students worked alongside Property Management to build a free little library.  📚 🍎🔨. The little library will be placed at Baker Park.
