Today, the Machine Trades class had the opportunity to hear from Jason Burton, our local representative from Seco Tools, a leading global provider of cutting tools and tooling solutions. Jason shared valuable insights into the world of tooling, discussing the materials, design process, and engineering that go into creating high-performance cutting tools used in manufacturing. Students learned about different types of cutting tools, coatings, and applications, and had the chance to ask questions about careers in the tooling industry and what it's like to work for a company like Seco. His visit brought real-world context to what we’re learning in class and emphasized the importance of precision, innovation, and continuous improvement in machining. Big thanks to Jason and Seco Tools for supporting our program and helping prepare the next generation of machinists and manufacturing professionals! #WeAreNCCC
